About Institute

National Institute of Technology Raipur (Formerly Government Engineering College Raipur) was established in 1956 and acquired the status of National Institute of Technology (an Institution of National Importance) on 1st December 2005. The institute is committed to the challenging task of the development of technical education by preparing seasoned graduates in highly sophisticated fields of engineering and technology. The core values adopted by the institute as enduring principles are Integrity, Excellence, Transparency, and Accountability. At present, the institute offers graduate-level courses in twelve disciplines, postgraduate in thirteen disciplines, and doctorate programs in all the advanced and core fields of engineering.

Electrical Engineering is one of the significant engineering branches of NIT Raipur and has been contributing to the institute since its inception in 1958. The department aims at imparting state-of-the-art knowledge and skills to the students, thus, developing them into excellent electrical engineers, entrepreneurs, scientists, and academicians.

About ETAEE2023

The first international conference on Emerging Technologies and Applications in Electrical Engineering aims to promote eminent research in critical investigation and exploration of thrust technologies and emerging concepts in the various application fields of Electrical Engineering.

Scope of the Conference: Power Electronics & Renewable, advanced semiconductors, Drives, Energy storage, Optics & Photonics, Smart sensing & controlling technologies in Protection and control of Power grid, High voltage Engineering, Applications of AI & ML in addressing dominant issues of Power generation, transmission, distribution, and utilization.

Call for paper

  • The First International Conference on Emerging Technologies and Applications in Electrical Engineering (ETAEE-2023) invites full-length original research contributions from researchers/professionals from industries, R&D organizations, academic institutions, and government departments from across the world. Full-length original research contributions and review articles not exceeding five pages in single-column format can be submitted. The template for the paper may be downloaded from click here for the Word file and PDF document
  • The manuscript should contribute original research ideas, developmental ideas, analysis, findings, results, etc. The manuscript should not have been published in any journals/magazines or conference proceedings and should not be under review in any of them. Furthermore, the manuscript should contain the name of the corresponding author with email ID and affiliation of all authors. Soft copy of the full-length manuscripts in prescribed single-column format should be submitted electronically via Conference Management Toolkit (CMT) sponsored by Microsoft Research through the link given here.
  • All the submitted manuscripts will be sent for peer review and the corresponding author will be notified about the outcome of the review process. If reviewers recommend further improvement in the manuscript, the manuscript will be sent back to the corresponding author, and the revised version of the manuscript shall be submitted within the due date. The deadlines for submission of manuscript, acceptance notification, camera-ready paper submission, and registration will be notified on the conference website. Any query regarding submission may be addressed to etaee_2023@nitrr.ac.in. The proceedings of the First International Conference ETAEE 2023 will be submitted for Indexing.

Camera ready submission

Paper Selection Process

  1. Step 1 (Received): Abstracts*/full-length papers received will be given a paper ID** relevant to the conference topic and track.
  2. Step 2 (Under Screening): Initial screening review will be done by the Technical Program Committee of ETAEE 2023. Initial screening includes relevance to the conference topic, plagiarism, organization of the paper, quality of figures/diagrams/illustrations/equations, and technical novelty, etc.
  3. Step 3 (Under Review): Papers that pass Step 2 will proceed to the technical review process.
  4. Step 4 (Revision): Corresponding author will be notified of the outcome of the review process, and the revised version of the manuscript shall be submitted within the duration specified in the date of intimation.
  5. Step 5 (Under Review): Revised version of the papers will be sent to reviewers to ensure that all suggested corrections have been made. If the reviewer recommends minor revision, TPC recommends its decision to be taken by the organizing Chair.
  6. Step 6 (Accept/Reject): Final decision will be taken by the organizing chair based on the recommendations by the reviewers/TPC and will be communicated to the corresponding authors.
  7. Step 7 (CRP Received/Not Received): Status of the Camera-Ready Paper after acceptance.
  8. Step 8 (REG Complete/Pending): Status of the registration.
  • # No paper will be accepted without screening review and technical review process.
  • * Full-length papers must be submitted to be considered for the review process.
  • ** Paper ID will be provided to all received papers within ONE working day from etaee_2023@nitrr.ac.in.
  • Authors are requested to contact the TPC through etaee_2023@nitrr.ac.in if the paper ID has not been received within the specified time frame.
  • TPC of ETAEE 2023 will check for possible plagiarism TWICE: first after receiving the paper and then at the stage of acceptance.
  • Though the organizing team ETAEE 2023 carefully checks for plagiarism, there could be a few possibilities for false plagiarism results. Hence, authors are encouraged to take sole responsibility for plagiarism when they are ready to submit their papers.

Keynote Speaker

Dr. Sanjeevikumar Padmanaban:(Member’12–Senior Member’15, IEEE) received a Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Bologna, Bologna, Italy 2012. He is a Full Professor in Electrical Power Engineering at the Department of Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, and Cybernetics, University of South-Eastern Norway, Norway. S. Padmanaban has authored over 750+ scientific papers and received the Best Paper cum Most Excellence Research Paper Award from IET-SEISCON’13, IET-CEAT’16, IEEE-EECSI’19, IEEE-CENCON’19, and five best paper awards from ETAEERE’16 sponsored Lecture Notes in Electrical Engineering, Springer book. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers, India, the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers, India, and the Institution of Engineering and Technology, U.K. He received a lifetime achievement award from Marquis Who’s Who - USA 2017 for contributing to power electronics and renewable energy research. He is listed among the world’s top 2 scientists (from 2019) by Stanford University USA. He is an Editor/Associate Editor/Editorial Board for refereed journals, in particular the IEEE SYSTEMS JOURNAL, IEEE Transaction on Industry Applications, IEEE ACCESS, IET Power Electronics, IET Electronics Letters, and Wiley-International Transactions on Electrical Energy Systems, Subject Editorial Board Member—Energy Sources—Energies Journal, MDPI, and the Subject Editor for the IET Renewable Power Generation, IET Generation, Transmission and Distribution, and FACETS Journal (Canada).

Keynote Speaker

Dr. Ramani Kannan: is Senior Lecturer and Postgraduate Programme Leader in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, Malaysia and Chair, IEEE PELS, Malaysia Chapter since 2022. With an outstanding record spanning over 17 years in teaching, 15 years in research and development, and 14 years in academic administration, Dr. Ramani has established himself as a prominent figure in the field. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Bharathiyar University, India, and obtained his master’s and Doctoral Degrees in Electricals and Electronics Engineering with a specialization in Power Electronics and Drives from ANNA UNIVERSITY, India. His doctoral research focused on the performance analysis of multilevel inverter-fed induction motor drives under the guidance of Professor Emeritus Dr. A. Krishnan. With a prolific publication record, Dr. Ramani has authored over 175 research papers and 15 book chapters in renowned international journals and forums. His research interests encompass Power Electronics and Drives, Renewable Energy Systems, Radiation in Power Semiconductor Devices, and Artificial Intelligence Applications to Power Electronics. He has received recognition and accolades throughout his career, including the “Career Award for Young Teacher” from AICTE India in 2012, “Young Scientist Award” in Power Electronics and Drives in 2015, “Highest Research Publication Award” in 2017, and the “Outstanding Researcher Award” at UTP Quality Day 2019, among others. Notably, Dr. Ramani has edited books published by reputable publishers such as Springer and Practical Examples of Energy Optimization Models. Dr. Ramani has successfully completed more than five funded projects and has seven ongoing research projects. He has secured grants from organizations such as FRGS, ASEAN-India, YUTP, KETTHA, and STIRF. His contributions extend beyond his own research, as he serves as the Editor-in-Chief for the Journal of Asian Scientific Research (2011-2018), Regional Editor for the International Journal of Computer-Aided Engineering and Technology, Associate Editor of IEEE Access journal, Associate Editor of IET-JoE journal, and Editor of Machines MDPI journal. Additionally, he offers his expertise as a guest editor for prominent journals including Elsevier, Inderscience, IGI Global, and IJPAM. Dr. Ramani has also edited books for renowned publishers such as Springer Nature Singapore, CRC Press, Taylor & Francis Group, Bentham Science Publishers, and Wiley, further demonstrating his commitment to knowledge dissemination and academic excellence.

Authors responsibilities
